Abstract
Belfast based caterer The Mount Charles Group recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a conference and award ceremony for employees and suppliers at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.

Over 150 representatives from the company’s varied divisions, including catering, came together with some of the group’s longest standing partners to enjoy lunch and a motivational speech from Jim Eastwood, entrepreneur and finalist on series seven of The Apprentice.

Commenting on the event, Jim said: “As a company they clearly take a lot of pride in what they do and there is a real family atmosphere among their employees, suppliers and partners. Everything is very much a team effort and that is something to be admired.

Suppliers including, Henderson Foodservice, North Down Group, Lynas Foodservice, SCA group and Johnsons Coffee set up demonstrations and taster stands at the event on October 18th.

Cathal Geoghegan, Managing Director of the Mount Charles Group said: “The support from our suppliers has been equally instrumental in our success, both today and over the last 25 years. It’s great to have them take part in this event as it builds relationships on a personal level that I believe will lead to better business performance for us all.”

Founded by Chairman Trevor Annon in 1987, The Mount Charles Group now employs over 1600 people across Ireland and Great Britain.
