Calling for entries for the Skills for Chefs Young Chef of the Year 2011

Abstract
Applications are now being sought for the University of Sheffield's Skills for Chefs Young Chef of the Year competition, which takes place at Sheffield College on July 12.
Competitors must be aged 21 or under and need to submit on paper an innovative two course menu by June 9 2011 to be in with a chance to compete in the final in the new state of the art kitchens at Sheffield College. The main course must feature Label Anglais chicken and a product from Essential Cuisine's range of stocks, gravies and jus, and the dessert must include Cacao Barry chocolate and California raisins. Those selected to go forward to the final will prepare and serve their menus in front of a stellar line up of chef judges including Nigel Haworth, Lisa Allen and Bryn Williams.
