BaxterStorey will treat up to 300 staff at the Woking-based Pirbright Institute to freshly-prepared and locally-sourced nutritious daily meals.
A range of initiatives and street food style pop-ups from the company’s food development team will feature in new seasonal menus, including ‘Healthy Me’, a concept that allows staff to substitute unhealthy snacks with wholesome, nutritionally balanced alternatives such as naturally sweet beetroot brownies.
Graham Olds, regional director at BaxterStorey, said: “It’s a real privilege to have been appointed as The Pirbright Institute’s hospitality provider for a further three years.
“We believe our innovative approach to foodservice, local sourcing and using seasonal ingredients will continue to make a real difference to its staff.”
BaxterStorey currently employs more than 8,500 people at its 600-plus locations across the UK and Ireland.
“We are delighted to be extending our contract with BaxterStorey. We have always been really impressed with the tailored approach that has continued to be updated and enhanced, particularly the focus on employee wellbeing and BaxterStorey’s commitment to providing nutritional meals using local produce,” said Dr Mike Johnson, director at The Pirbright Institute.
