Abstract
Aramark Offshore is celebrating a successful 2009 after numerous awards including five stars for health and safety, which the company says is the “secret to successâ€.
At the Northern Star Business Awards, the contract caterer won a 'Commitment to People Development Award. This was topped with five stars in the British Safety Council Management Audit, which saw Aramark awarded accreditation for BS OHSAS 18001. Managing director for Offshore, Susan Elston explains more about the bumper year: "This year we have seen phenomenal operational performance and secured 100% retention for offshore business. Exemplary safety is intrinsic to good business, not least when you operate in foodservice and the offshore market - it has to be a core value. We can't afford for mistakes to be made, it has to be right, our clients and employees rely on us. "This award win illustrates how we deliver above and beyond with exceptional levels of safety. It demonstrates our commitment to our employees to provide the best possible working environment, and in turn they reward us by delivering a great customer service, ensuring a good reputation and happy customers. "It has been a real achievement for the business and we are already looking ahead to next year, and hoping to achieve amongst other awards; the Sword of Honour again."
