Rachael Wilson joined the independent catering company in February 2025. She is now responsible for Accent’s portfolio of independent and state schools as well as business & industry contracts throughout the region, which stretches from St Albans to Staffordshire.
Wilson, who has over 20 years of operational experience, said: “I see this new role as an exciting opportunity to support existing clients, and to work closely with the sales team to grow the business further in this region. This will be done in a way that is respectful of Accent’s operational values of honesty, transparency, and a relationship-centred approach.
“Accent Catering is a thoroughly decent company that genuinely cares for its clients and people. That means everything to me as someone who has invested my entire career in building and supporting relationships with teams, clients and customers. What also attracted me to join Accent is that innovation, passion and growth are part of their ethos too.
“It takes time to get to know every individual, what drives them and how they can be supported. Happy teams are the heart of any company’s success. It is an absolute joy to see great food out on the counters in our school dining halls, set up by well-presented, polished and motivated teams and then watch the food devoured and enjoyed.”
Accent Catering creates tailored service plans to meet the individual needs of clients, specialising in business & industry staff restaurants, independent schools, state primary schools, secondary schools and academies.
Ian Crabtree, managing director of Accent Catering Services Limited, added: “This is a strategic investment as we are an operationally-led business, so it was vital that we secured the right person for this role. Rachael’s values align with Accent’s, and her experience and steadfast commitment to operations throughout her career are admirable. The energy she brings, her enthusiasm and vision are already having an impact.”
