Abstract
abm catering are celebrating a successful end to their financial year with new contract wins totalling £10 million in total contract value.
The independent caterer has gained new contracts at Worthing College in West Sussex and Bexley College in London, both previously operated by Compass's Education arm Chartwells. In September, abm will start eight new school contracts which will see the fresh-food caterer serving an additional 7,460 pupils a day. These contracts include the new state-of-the art City Academy Hackney, Beths Grammar School in London, Abbeydale Grange School in Sheffield, Maidenhill School and Harewood School in Gloucestershire, Millbrook School in Swindon and St Albans High School in Pontypool. abm will be bringing drama to each of the school's dining rooms by holding their 'What's Cooking' chef's theatre lunchtimes when pupils can have wok dishes such as oriental stir-fries and spicy curries cooked in front of them. The company has also continued its expansion within the business and industry sector with new contracts opening at Premier Foods Group in Rugby and R F Brookes in Leicester, who produce high quality ready meals for Marks & Spencer. Both contracts were previously run by Avenance. Sue Johnson, managing director of abm, said: "We are delighted to have been awarded these contracts and look forward to working with our clients to develop an exciting and innovative service at each site."
