Abstract
One of the UK's leading wholesale foodservice distributors, 3663, will be working with international support services and construction group Interserve on a four-year contract worth £20 million.
Based in the UK, but with workforce of 50,000 worldwide and annual revenue of £1.9 million, Interserve supplies advice, design, construction, equipment and FM services.
Guy Bruce, Strategic Director, Procurement and Supply Chain at Interserve, comments: "The decision to unite with a well-established partner such as 3663 was a natural choice; they put their customers first and have a great understanding of our market.
"Through this relationship we are hoping to see advantages such as: reducing our road miles; converting cooking oil into bio-diesel for our fleets; increasing the number of self-delivered meals; and implementing the right systems to source local products through a national supply chain."
Andy Kemp, Group Sales Director at 3663, comments: "We're delighted to be working with Interserve and look forward to sharing our key learnings and recommendations on how we can work more effectively and efficiently together, to give their customers a better service and meet their objectives of cutting emissions."
3663 is currently demonstrating an important change to its business and has committed to reshaping its support services, processes and products to benefit its customers. The new direction for the business was recently announced after carrying out its most intensive customer consultation to date and reviewing how it can work better, both with its customers and its own team.
