Abstract
The fourth annual British Association of Hospitality Accountants (BAHA) Conference and IT Exhibition is set to take place in November at the Sofitel Hotel, London Heathrow at Terminal 5, providing delegates with a 'one stop shop' to view the latest technologies to the hospitality sector.
Entitled 'The Essential Toolkit for Managing the Bottom Line', the one-day conference, to be held on 19 November, will be once again be supported by an exhibition of IT suppliers. "Conscious of the challenges and pressures currently facing hospitality industry finance, revenue and IT professionals in this difficult economic climate, we recognised that time away from the workplace needed to be kept to a minimum – so just for 2009, we have taken the decision to reduce our popular annual two-day conference to one day only," explained BAHA Head of Education, Debra Adams. "This will in no way impair the quality and content of the event. We will shortly be unveiling an exciting line-up of guest speakers – all experts in their fields – to address the major issues of the day; as well as a programme of highly topical education workshops that will provide considerable food for thought. "In addition, the accompanying IT exhibition – featuring some of the 'best in class' products and services – will enable people to interact with the latest developments in hospitality industry technology. In short, the 2009 BAHA one-day Conference and IT Exhibition will prove invaluable for professional updating, earning Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points!"
