The PSC100 Group, representing catering associations involved in schools, hospitals the care sector, universities, catering colleges, prisons and the military, is working with the National Farmers Union to make the case for specific support for British food.

Matt White, chair of PSC100 Group, told a recent meeting of the PSC100 and the NFU: “We’re facing into a storm, we’re already out of our depth.

“More British food onto public sector plates will help to prevent catastrophes heading towards us on issues like diabetes and obesity.

“The nation’s health is dependent on public sector food and people are turning more and more to it to survive, and my concern is that we may not be able to handle this.”

Catering operators are encourage to complete the survey here.

Please note, the survey it is aimed at catering operators and not supplier companies.
