Orange Sparkle Baubles

14th Mar 2012 - 19:58
Ingredients

Makes: Enough for 4 orange treats for Mum You will need: 1 red raspberry jelly (135g) About 150ml (1/4pt) red grape, cranberry and pomegranate juice (or similar ‘red’ fruit juice) OR / AND 1 green lime jelly (135g) About 150ml (1/4pt) apple juice 4 oranges or 6 clementines Anchor Light Real Dairy Cream Pistachio nuts, shells removed and roughly chopped Prep time: Jelly setting time = about 2 hours

Preparation method

How to make: Make the jelly according to instructions on the packet, but use slightly less liquid than the instructions state (so use a total of 450ml ¾ pt). Make up the other ¼ (150 ml) of the liquid with fruit juice which should be added after the jelly has dissolved. Take the oranges, cut a small lid off the top and then cut between the skin and pith to make it easier to remove the flesh – scoop this out with a spoon. Save it in a bowl as you can either squeeze it out and drink or use it in the jelly. Fill the oranges ¾ full of jelly, place on a tray and allow to set in the fridge or freezer. When set (allowing at least 2 hours) carefully use a sharp knife to cut a festive shape through the orange skin and expose the red / green jelly to create your festive bauble. Squirt a large swirl of Anchor Light Real Dairy Cream on the top of the orange and sprinkle with pistachio nuts for a fun festive treat. Recipe by Anchor.
