Ingredients
1 kg cooking apples Butter White breadcrumbs 100g caster sugar 100g flour 40ml milk 1 egg
Preparation method
Butter a deep flan dish and sprinkle thickly with the breadcrumbs. Peel, slice and lightly poach the apples, allow to cool then arrange over the top of the breadcrumbs. Make a thick batter as follows: Sieve the flour into a bowl, mix with the sugar and make a well in the centre. In a jug, beat the egg and milk, pour into the well and combine with a whisk. Pour over the apples and bake at 175° for 25-30 mins until batter is set and springy. Serve hot. Country of origin: Czech Republic
