Ingredients

4-6 cooking apples Pinch ground cloves 250g cooked chicken breast 8 strands saffron Salt & pepper Pinch cinnamon 30g ground almonds Pinch ground ginger 30g raisins 25g brown sugar 50g butter Juice ½ lemon

Preparation method

Dice the chicken breast into 10mm pieces and place into a mixing bowl. With the exception of the apples, place all the remaining ingredients into the bowl with the chicken and mix together well. Slice the tops off the apples and core a little over size. Fill with the chicken mix, replace the tops and place into a lightly greased baking dish. Pour enough boiling water into the baking dish to come ¼ way up the apples. Bake at 160° for 30-45 mins until the apples are cooked. Country of origin: Saudi Arabia
