Patatas Bravas, also called patatas a la brava, is a tapas dish native to Spain. Its rich smokey flavour is perfectly complemented by gentle heat and spice. Here our Good Deli Company Executive Chef, David King, develops this rustic dish further with our gorgeous sweet San Marzano tomatoes and Lupetta caper, olive and cherry tomato sauce.

Ingredients

1 x large chunky diced potato (Maris Pipers)
1 x 400g tin of Good Deli Company San Marzano tomatoes
1x bottle of Lupetta caper, olive and cherry tomato sauce
1 x whole onion cut into wedges
4 x garlic cloves
½ stick of chorizo roughly chopped or sliced (optional)
Seasoning
Lemon and chilli olive oil

Preparation method

Once prepared, mix all the ingredients together and place into a covered ovenproof casserole dish.
Cook at 160 degrees C (gas mark 4) for 40 minutes or until potatoes soft.
Remove lid and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Finish with lemon and chilli olive oil.
Serve with fresh salad and crusty bread or ideal as a side dish to any meals.
