Ingredients

This makes a very tasty fish dish and is good served on a bed of fluffy white rice. Flake the fish and mix with the rice for small children. Always take care to check that there are no bones in the fish. * From 1 year MAKES 4 PORTIONS 300g (10oz) fillet of any white fish (eg coley, pollack, lemon sole) cut into cubes or strips seasoned plain flour 22.5ml (1 1/2 tbsp) vegetable oil SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE 15ml (1 tbsp) white wine vinegar 15ml (1tbsp) sugar 22.5ml (1 1/2 tbsp) tomato ketchup 7.5ml (1/2 tbsp) soy sauce 7.5ml (1/2 tbsp) cornflour 45ml (3 tbsp) water 2.5ml (1/2 tsp) sesame oil 15ml (1 tbsp) finely sliced spring onion

Preparation method

Cost the fish in seasoned flour and saute in the oil for 4 - 5 minutes or until cooked (it should flake easily with a fork). Mix together the ingredients for the sauce and heat gently in a saucepan, stirring until thickened. Pour the sauce over the fish and heat through.
