Keynote 1: Public Sector Catering Procurement in Schools, Hospitals and Prisons
Professor Kevin Morgan

Professor Morgan has spent over 20 years researching the issues around food procurement in the public sector. His new book on the topic draws on recent trends in the UK, Sweden and the US. The book is due to be published in January 2025 and he will share some initial thoughts and findings ahead of its release.

AI is impacting us in all areas of like and work, sometimes without us even recognizing it is happening.  Peter will share some of the fascinating and positive ways that AI is currently being used in the hospitality industry and will look at how we can expect that to start to become and increasingly important part of public sector catering and how it will help.
  Open Mic sessions. Delegates are invited to come to stage and update colleagues on their work, the issues they face, their objectives and ambitions.  
The session will be split into 5 quickfire slots that will involve a short 5 minute presentation and a 10 minute discussion and Q&A.

The Importance of School Meals to World Health

Professor Bundy is a global expert in world health and particularly the importance of school meals in improving it in the UK and globally.  Investing in school meals will have a long term positive impact on general health, reducing obesity, under pinning the NHS  and global health services and leading to healthier outcomes throughout adulthood.
