Using a optical sensor, OPTIC.Cooking takes the adaptive learning capabilities of artificial intelligence to recognise and cook a tray of food inserted into the Unox oven chamber.
Once the software has been trained to recognise individual items – from beef to vegetables, chicken, cookies, potatoes, fish, and eggs - regardless of which rack the tray is placed in the oven, the intelligent sensor automatically recognises the relevant item. By simply closing the oven door, the AI software will automatically start the correct cooking program.
Scott Duncan, managing director of Unox UK, said: “OPTIC.Cooking really is the dawn of a new cooking era for professional chefs. We unveiled the state-of-the-art technology for the first time in the UK at HRC 2024, and we’re delighted to officially offer this innovative solution to the UK market.
“With Unox’s latest solution, chefs will no longer have to manually set a cooking program or timer every time they use the oven. OPTIC.Cooking will reliably and consistently cook food to the desired specification required by each individual kitchen across the UK.”
