Theo’s creates new vegan options fried spinach and kale burger

Theo’s is continuing the vegan plant-based trend with its new frozen quinoa falafel and fried spinach and kale burger.

The spinach and kale burger offers a blend of spices, chickpeas and kale with a crisp coating and a soft middle.

The pre-fried quinoa falafel is a healthy, protein rich Mediterranean meal that is ‘popular’ with both vegans and non-vegans alike. The chickpeas are soaked for long periods of time and mixed with spices before being formed into individual balls that are placed inside a pita bread or sandwich once cooked.

Lee Sharpe, Theo’s head of sales and marketing, said: “Theo’s has developed Fellah whereby the falafel is complemented with jalapeno hummus, red cabbage, carrot, mint, toasted za’atar pine nuts, pomegranate and lemon juice salad, served with tahini on a sourdough.

“Why not combine the spinach and kale burger with harissa and preserved lemon burger sauce, served with romaine lettuce, minted gherkin and vegan cheese in a vegan bun?”
