Its integrated system is capable of dealing with 700kg of waste per hour and provides automated hygienic processing of food waste. This concept involves grinding the food waste at a Food Waste Station at kitchen level and transporting it by means of a vacuum system to a central, compact storage location which is just 2m2 in size.
The food waste is dewatered - reducing its volume by up to 80% which enables significant reductions in food waste disposal costs, providing hygienic working conditions in the kitchen and eliminating any food waste to drain issues.
In addition, Flex WasteDispo requires less transport water and uses a centrifugal system to reduce the volume by 80%. This means that you pay less to dispose of the food waste – which, after all, is mainly water in the first place.
Mike Butt, managing director at Dawson Food Service Equipment, stated: “We are very excited about the launch of this new system and the benefits it will bring. We all know it is becoming socially unacceptable to macerate food waste to drain. What’s more, traditional macerators use and waste a significant amount of water as part of their process.”
