CSM Ingredients creates plain & chocolate reduced sugar cookie mix

CSM Ingredients has launched a new addition to its foodservice range with a reduced sugar cookie mix. Available in plain and chocolate the mix contains 30% less sugar and creates a ‘delicious indulgent artisan cookie’ that is crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle.

The mix meets the Government's school sugar guidelines and is perfect for educational establishments to serve throughout the day. The easy-to-use mix can be used by all skill levels, requiring just water and Marvello, and is perfect for adding healthy inclusions, including chai seeds, banana pieces, cranberry and oats. 

Alternatively, add a light decoration drizzle with a light sprinkle or a little dunk with crembel. The mix is a versatile bakery solution that allows caters to ensure they have a high quality and reduced sugar range that appeals to all customers including students and staff. 

The mix produces a soft ‘melt in the mouth’ cookie base with a soft centre and outer crunch, with 30% less sugar than the standard cookie. It also has the added benefit of a subtle natural vanilla flavour with great volume and texture.  

Because the mix contains less sugar, it enables bakers to create larger portion sizes and be rest assured that when serving younger audiences it also meets school sugar guidelines. Bakers can also plan out their ranges in good time as they the cookies can be baked, frozen and then baked off fresh ahead of busy times.
