The beans have been sourced from BM’s coffee partner the Soppexcca cooperative in Nicaragua, which supports local community education, infrastructure and sustainability initiatives. The product is packaged in a three litre box with an easy pouring system for speedy serving.
It is available across all BM client site coffee bars after being officially launched at BM’s coffee carnival, where the winner of the company barista competition was also announced.
Adrian Steenkamp, coffee brand manager at BM Caterers, said: “There’s been a growing trend and increasing demand for cold brew coffee and cold beverages in recent years – simply served over ice, our new Perkee cold brew coffee fills this gap perfectly.
“We’ve already got some great reviews, with people saying it reminded them of being on holiday. We expect it to be really popular over the coming months, particularly if we get a hot summer this year, so fingers crossed.”
