Yorkshire chefs to raise money for Hospitality charity
Abstract
Five Yorkshire chefs will be cooking for guests at the first Northern Stars Dinner in aid of Hospitality Action on 11 November at the Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate.

Hosted by Stephanie Moon, chef consultant at Rudding Park, the dinner is about celebrating Yorkshire’s culinary success and raising money for charity. The evening will start with canapés followed by a five-course dinner prepared by the five Yorkshire chefs.

The five Yorkshire chefs are Tommy Banks (starter), Shaun Rankin (first course), James Mackenzie (main course), Mathew Wilkinson (pre-dessert) and Michael Wignall (Dessert).

Hospitality Action is a charity that supports the UK’s Hospitality industry workers when they find themselves in a crisis. Emergency grants are available for those in need.

Mark Lewis, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: “We’re excited to be hosting some of Yorkshire’s greatest chefs who will be joining forces to create a superb five course menu.

“Our first Northern Stars Dinner in Yorkshire is set to be a truly memorable evening. The money raised will go towards helping industry people who find themselves in crisis.”

A £100 donation can buy basic clothing and waterproof shoes for someone in need. A £250 donation can buy baby items for new mothers and £1,000 will help towards the cost of an unexpected funeral.

Nuno César de Sá, hotel manager at Rudding Park, added: “We are thrilled to be hosting the first Yorkshire Northern Stars Dinner for Hospitality Action.”

Tickets for the Northern Stars Dinner are £125 per person or £1,200 for a table of ten. The price includes: cocktail and canapé reception, five-course dinner, matched wines, coffee and petit fours.
