Barley Close Community Primary School in Mangotsfield, Bristol and Melbourne Primary School in Melbourne, York scooped the prizes following nearly 200 entries from schools across the country.
To enter, schools had to explain in 150 words what winning the Yeo Explore! Forest Day experience would mean to them and their students. The two primary schools have also scooped a term’s supply of Yeo Valley Organic Yogurt to enjoy.
Both schools will enjoy a day of adventure led by a team of forestry experts, including a mini beast hunt, guided walks, and den building, all to provide a well-rounded learning experience that champions nature and the great outdoors.
Craig Dillon, head of sales, wholesale and foodservice at Yeo Valley Organic, said: “We were overwhelmed by the response to Yeo Explore! Our foodservice team was genuinely touched by all the entries and what winning would mean to one of the participating schools.
“Recognising the impact, we decided to go the extra mile and award two winners instead of one. We're all about supporting schools and their pupils every step of the way in their education journey and nurturing healthier eating habits. We can't wait to help them learn and connect with nature through Yeo Explore! — it's going to be fantastic.”
