Abstract
At a free webinar on Thursday 3rd November at 2pm WRAP will be hosting a consultation on proposed changes to the Food Waste Reduction Roadmap.

The webinar will be of interest to all UK food and drink businesses both those who are committed to the roadmap and those who are considering joining.

A spokesperson for WRAP said: “The sector has undergone many changes recently – we are all aware of the shocks caused by Covid-19, the war in Ukraine, and the worsening effects of climate change. Added to this, the cost of living crisis is making us all too aware of the need to make the best use of our resources, especially our food. All of these factors and more are having an effect on our food system, and UK businesses are having to find a way to navigate through them.

“The UK's largest retailers, food producers, manufacturers and hospitality and food service companies have committed to milestones laid out in the Food Waste Reduction Roadmap for how the UK food industry will help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Courtauld Commitment 2030 targets.”

WRAP has decided to refresh the roadmap to ‘supercharge’ their efforts to progress towards food waste targets. The refreshed roadmap will help to ensure businesses and caterers are on track to meet their targets and to ensure they are well-equipped to meet the upcoming challenges.
