WiW, created in 2016 as a networking event and now led by a steering committee set up last year, is working with market consultancy, HIM, on the report
The report’s research will cover what key benefits attract women into jobs, what puts them off and how to retain workers in the longer term.
WiW founder and organiser, Elit Rowland, said: “One of the biggest challenges with recruitment in wholesale is attracting a diverse pipeline in the first place. Many manufacturers and wholesalers want more diverse teams but struggle to get the applicants.”
The results of the study are to be presented in a free-of-charge report and launched at a WiW Speed Networking event, taking place in London on 26 April.
Confirmed attendees to the event include managers and directors from Bidfood, Coca Cola European Partners, Bestway, Country Range and Landmark Wholesale.
