Abstract
Head of Culinary Arts, Gary Hunter, and college chef Lecturer, James Lui, at Westminster Kingsway College (WKC) have recently been given the honour of being accepted as full members of The Master Chefs of Great Britain.
To gain membership into the organisation, candidates have to be recommended, with existing members having the final say in a voting process. The Master Chefs of Great Britain holds both training and development of young chefs and one of its main goals and objectives is to serve the best produce. According to the association, a full member must not only be a chef of quality but should be backed and supported by an establishment of proven high culinary and food service standards. Westminster Kingsway College has fully supported the Master Chef memberships of Gary Hunter and James Lui. Lui commented on the achievement: "It's a privilege for Gary Hunter and myself to be recognised by our peers and The Master Chefs of Great Britain. This is a reflection of the hard work that the lecturers and students put into making the College the success that it is."
