Abstract
The newly-refurbished Wivenhoe House, home of the Edge Hotel School, has announced its first partnership with the hospitality industry.
Churchill, one of Britain's leading suppliers of tableware to the hospitality industry, will be supplying the entire range of glassware, china and cutlery. Wivenhoe House in Colchester, which opens this summer as a country-house hotel, will offer a fine dining restaurant and modern brasserie, with more than 2,500 pieces required for the restaurant alone. Churchill has been established in The Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent, since 1795. It will be supplying Wivenhoe House with a total of 13,050 items, including 5,682 ceramic pieces, 2388 glasses and 4,404 items of cutlery. Sharon Heap, marketing director from Churchill said: "We have a continuous commitment to bringing new products to the market. Wivenhoe House and the Edge Hotel School will be an excellent test-bed for innovation as well as a prestigious accommodation and dining venue." General manager of the hotel Stephen Mannock added: "Our unique combination of hotel school and high quality hotel is capturing the imagination of the hospitality industry. Churchill was quick to recognise the opportunities the Edge Hotel School offered as a unique laboratory to evaluate a range of products and we look forward to announcing more partners in the near future."
