Abstract
The winners of this year's British Sandwich Awards, known as the Sammies, have been announced.

The Sammies 2016 were held during British Sandwich Week on Thursday 12th May at Lancaster London Hotel, and were presented by celebrity chef Theo Randall, featuring independent cafés and shops, as well as high street giants such as Costa and Pret.

Jim Winship, director of British Sandwich and Food to Go Association, said: “The Sandwich Industry has delivered so much this year in terms of innovation, quality and authenticity across the board.
