Abstract
Wilson Vale’s operational teams have been busy over the last six weeks with the opening of six new catering contracts, collectively worth £1.3m in annual turnover.

The largest was the opening of College Court Conference Centre at the University of Leicester, gained earlier this year, and adding £500K to the independent caterer’s annual turnover.

A team of 13 Wilson Vale staff commenced a breakfast, lunch, dinner and hospitality service on 1st October.  A new contract with leading British design company, Cath Kidston, at the company’s corporate headquarters in West London, opened on 9th September.

Wilson Vale’s operational teams were also busy with the opening of three new independent school contracts: Egerton Rothesay School in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, Ashdell Preparatory School in Sheffield and one very close to its Ashby corporate headquarters; The Dixie Grammar School in Market Bosworth, one of Leicestershire’s leading independent schools.

Alan Beddie, operations director of Wilson Vale, said: “It has been a very busy period for us but as an operations-driven business we are well-resourced to handle this level of new openings.

“Without exception, all of these recent mobilisations have been made possible by the work ethic and reputation of our teams across the country. There is a collective enthusiasm amongst our teams and our clients when the company is successful and growth is seen very much as an extension of the happy family. Having resources in place in advance of business growth has always been a key feature of Wilson Vale and we remain well-positioned for continued success.”

The Ashby-based independent catering company now has an annual turnover of £18.5m and employs 550 people nationwide throughout diverse catering operations.
