The independent caterer now provides catering services to 250 Hiscox staff at the company's new landmark building in York. This number is expected to rise to 500 over the next three years in line with as Hiscox's recruitment plans.
Andrew Wilson, co-founder of Wilson Vale, said:" Our new client takes great pride and is hugely committed to providing the best possible working environment for their staff. They view the provision of quality catering as a fundamental element of their staff welfare strategy and wanted a catering partner who would reflect the company's values. We were chosen because of our flexible style and bespoke solutions so it is wonderful that there is synergy from the outset in terms of values, standards and ethos.
"This is a significant addition to our portfolio. To grow organically within the foodservice sector you have to safe-guard your ethos and remain true to your core values. By keeping our standards consistently high we continue to attract clients like Hiscox and talented people who embody our values day-in, day-out across each of our 85 catering operations."
The building is the insurer's largest office outside of London. Located in the Hungate area of the city, it occupies nearly 50,000 sq ft over four floors and its roof terrace has stunning views of York Minster.
