Wholesaler launches ‘Brakes Essentials’

Brakes has announced the launch of ‘Brakes Essentials’ which offers the lowest prices on everyday products including meat, fish and bakery items.

Brakes provide fresh and frozen food to some of the nation’s most famous Michelin-starred restaurants as well as schools, care homes and hospitals.

The ‘Brakes Essentials’ products feature new packaging specifically designed to make storage and preparation as easy as possible. The Brakes website has new illustrations to help identify the product and a standardised layout for key information on ingredients, allergens and cooking instructions.

Leon French, customer marketing director at Brakes, said: “As well as making our range easier to shop, ‘Brakes Essentials’ will support our customers’ business needs by fulfilling their demand for value for money on everyday essentials.”

All Brakes own-label products are developed by chefs to ensure they stand up to the demands of a professional kitchen.
