Abstract
Brakes took home 13 awards in the Cash & Carry Management Chefs’ Own-Brand Awards, which are particularly coveted as they are judged by a panel of experienced chefs.
The judging panel also awarded Brakes four of the six ‘Best of the Best’ awards that were on offer, including the sought after butchery award for its Beef Tomahawk Steak.
The other three products were the La Boulangerie 7” Chocolate Tart, Sweet & Sour Onion Pickles and the Délifrance Hand Crafted Round Sourdough Roll.
Speaking about the awards, Stuart Smith, merchandising director for Sysco in Great Britain, said: “We are delighted that our investment in new product development has once again seen us dominate foodservice awards. It’s very important that we keep innovating so that we can support customers with fantastic products at a very challenging time.”
