Whitakers Chocolates awarded Fairtrade Foundation Licence

After successfully completing a thorough certification process, the Yorkshire business has succeeded in meeting the stringent controls enforced by the Fairtrade Foundation and is now able to produce Fairtrade products for contract caterers, airlines and hotel groups. There is mounting pressure to provide more Fairtrade options in the foodservice sector, as consumers are increasingly demanding Fairtrade products when eating out – not just on shop shelves. The licence means Whitakers is now in a position to meet their requirements for chocolate products that come with Fairtrade endorsement.
