Abstract
The Westminster Food & Nutrition Forum will host a seminar on the priorities for hospital food on July 14th.
The seminar will address the next steps for nutritional services in hospitals and the care sector with guest speakers including Dianne Jeffrey, chairman of Age UK.
Also at the event will be Jane Crossley, senior strategy and policy manager, patient environment team from the Department of Health, and Mike Duckett and Dr Susannah McWilliam, from the Soil Association, Food for Life.
Delegates will discuss best practice for raising awareness of the importance of good nutritional care within hospitals and the social care sector, following NHS England’s new guidance for commissioners to improve the nutritional and hydration care in acute services, including improving clinical outcomes and reducing the risk of malnourishment in the community.
