West Middlesex hospital achieves four star rating

30th Jan 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
West Middlesex University Hospital has achieved four out of five stars for its food safety standards.
The scheme, supported by the Food Standards Agency, provides information on how well food businesses are complying with food hygiene law. The ratings are given following an inspection by the local environmental health department. At the awarding hospital, the 'very good' four star rating found 'good safety management and high standard of compliance with food safety legislation' in all areas. Ecovert FM provides catering for the hospital's patients, visitors and staff. Mike Gennery, Ecovert FM contract director, said: "To achieve this level when we provide around 440,000 meals every year is testament to the hard work of all of our staff, especially our catering team." www.west-middlesex-hospital.nhs.uk/
