The new contract will commence in September 2024. LFL says it is ‘excited’ to be working closely with ten first, primary and middle schools in the MAT and providing delicious meals for pupils in Dorset.
LFL is an independent caterer and a not-for-profit social enterprise that supplies 4,800 meals a day to 59 schools in Dorset and Devon. Around 78% of ingredients in the school meals are purchased from Dorset suppliers and are from 95% from South West suppliers.
LFL is also ‘incredibly proud’ to have been shortlisted in two categories in the LACA Awards for Excellence 2024. The winners will be announced at the LACA Awards event which will be held in Birmingham on Thursday 4th July.
Caroline Morgan, chief executive for LFL, said: “Incredibly proud of the entire team for their dedication to feeding children well, especially at a time when many families are struggling.
"We recognise the value of a delicious and filling meal during the school day and strive to always make it the best it can be. To be shortlisted amongst our peers is a privilege and recognises the high standards we have always set out to achieve.”
