Driving the Convotherm range with end-users, key accounts, consultants and dealers, Pettit has spent time with the culinary and sales teams to learn everything about Convotherm.
Commenting on his appointment, pettit said: “There’s some incredible knowledge within the team and a brilliant new development we’re about to launch so lots to get to grips with.
“I’m also going to being heading off to the Convotherm factory in Bavaria soon to see how the equipment is built, which will be amazing and I believe it’s really important to understand just how things are made, it makes it easier to talk to customers and explain to them why Convotherm is a really great product.”
Over his career, Pettit has worked as sales catering manager for Grunwerg, in category development for Brakes Group and more recently as head of business development and marketing for Trak System.
Steve Hemsil, sales director – UK & Ireland at Welbilt, added: “He brings some impressive experience and contacts from the industry so we know he’s going to deliver some notable results for the Convotherm team.
“Anthony’s addition to the Convotherm Focus Team shows our commitment to support our customers in the UK to grow the Convotherm brand while still being able to find new opportunities within the sales team to grow other Welbilt brands such as Merrychef and Crem.”
