Consultants from the UK, Europe and the Middle East joined the Convotherm team for The Smart Kitchen Event to showcase the ‘innovative’ Convotherm combi ovens and how they shape the kitchens of the future.
On the trip participants went hiking in the Alps and wild mountain cooking with chef Brian Bojsen as well as visiting to the ski jumping facility in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Welbilt described the event as ‘a perfect blend of innovation, sustainability and adventure’.
Bill Perry, head of regional sales at Welbilt UK, said: “Hiking in the Alps ticked off a bucket list activity for many of us, but the entire Smart Kitchen Event allowed us all to get together and talk about the kitchen of the future and how Convotherm combi ovens are leading the way in innovation to deliver the vision.
“Gathering consultants from EMEA in one place led to great conversations around business pressures across the different markets and the future of kitchens, with lots of tips and insights being shared. Commercial kitchens are adapting to the challenges that surround them, and we are seeing more and more exploring connectivity and reaping the benefits.
“When we talk about AI and ConvoSense, it’s a technology that just seems extraordinary but showing our consultant partners just what can be achieved with this innovative equipment allows them to see the applications in everyday situations – it really is the future and Convotherm is making the future a reality.”
