Watford FC’s Hornets Hospitality named ‘top of the league’
Abstract
VisitFootball has crowned Watford FC as having the best matchday hospitality in The Premier League, beating their rivals to the accolade.

VisitFootball, a teaming of The Premier League and The National Tourism Board VisitEngland, has assessed the overall experience that fans and guests receive at football grounds since August 2010. Football clubs are assessed on: stadium signage, cleanliness, the friendliness of staff and the quality of food, drink and service.

Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3) provides matchday and non-matchday catering for sporting stadia including Watford and Manchester City FC. F3 is a joint venture between Absolute Taste and Legends of the USA. They use multiple food service companies for supplies.

Scott Duxbury, Watford’s chairman and chief executive said: “I have already offered my sincere thanks to all of our staff involved in creating such a special atmosphere and experience at our Premier League home fixtures.

“To excel in the eyes of independent assessors is only possible due to the collaborative nature of our work here, allied to a team spirit which is the envy of many other clubs.

“With new hospitality offerings opening for the forthcoming season, we’ll now enjoy the challenge of maintaining the highest of standards as we welcome more guests to Vicarage Road for a great Premier League experience with us.”

Vicarage Road has a capacity of more than 22,000 and a variety of dining experiences for its guests including The Gallery and Carbon offering a five choice a ‘la carte menu, The View that offers a casual dining experience, a carvery in the Sir Elton John Suite and a steak house in The Grill and Horizons new for the 2019/20 season. The club’s head chef has cooked for US presidents and various members of the United Nations.

Mandy Lane, managing director at LiveTourism, added: “The focus and attention to detail in providing the best possible hospitality experience, is a credit to all the staff involved. This achievement is the result of enthusiastic well-trained staff and an excellent quality food offer, skillfully designed and executed.”
