Evans, who will be joining Meiko UK on 2 September 2019, said: “Opportunities like this don’t come that often and I am very happy to be joining the Meiko UK leadership team.
“I have known the Meiko brand for a long time. The attraction of Meiko UK is that it is all about quality. The company has a great reputation for its products, customer service and, increasingly, for its environmental awareness.
“I personally thrive on human interaction and it is exciting to move away from a corporate environment and to get back into the front line.”
Meiko UK recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. When Meiko UK launched there were just a handful of employees and now there are over 2,000 across 30 countries. Initially the turnover was less than £1 million but now it is around £20 million.
Evans has over 20 years of sales experience and one of his previous roles included sales director at Nisbets where he managed accounts for catering equipment distributors.
