Abstract
The Welsh Government has announced they will ban single-use plastics from 2021.
The Single-use plastic ban include plastic straws, plates and cutlery.
Over 90% of the schools in Wales are Eco-schools, which aim to increase environmental awareness and create financial savings.
It is estimated that the UK uses as many as 38.5 million plastic bottles every day, many of which are not recycled.
Environmental charity Hubbub recently launched a campaign to encourage schools to stop using single-use plastics. Research found the average Brit throws away 34kg of plastic every year.
