Abstract
Vegetarian Express has announced it will provide its customers with a quarterly report that will show them how much of a difference adopting plant-based food to their menu makes to their environmental credentials.

The report will highlight the quantity of Green House Gas (GHG) saved each month enabling customers to benchmark their impact month on month.

David Webster, managing director of Vegetarian Express, said: “As a certified B-Corp, and one of a growing number of companies who believe in the power of business to help solve social and environmental challenges, it is only right that Vegetarian Express should be leading the way when it comes to helping businesses make sustainable purchasing choices.

The free service will be provided if customers continue to put Vegetarian Express’s plant-based food on their menus.

Clare Twiss, head of marketing at Vegetarian Express, added: “We’ve always been serious about helping our customers to get the best plant-based food on their menus.

“But now, as well as access to our larder packed with vibrant, authentic ingredients and the latest plant-based products, as well as our online recipe portal, www.seed-bank.co.uk, Vegetarian Express customers will be able to see the environmental benefit of their decision to purchase from us.”

In December a group of leading public sector caterers backed a weekly ‘plant-based’ menu.
