Vacherin in support of government’s Great British Food Unit
Abstract
Vacherin has spoken in support of the launch of the Great British Food Unit (GBFU), announced by Environment Secretary Liz Truss, and encouraged the entire food industry to get behind the initiative.

The London catering company believes every single caterer and foodservice business can make a contribution, however small, which when combined can make a significant collective impact.

Anthony Kingsley, Vacherin’s lead on sustainability & CSR, said: “We are on-board with Britain to be recognised as a Great Food Nation. British food really has so much to offer, and will support both health and environmental concerns.

“Whilst Vacherin’s health and sustainable sourcing focus is on locally sourced fruit and vegetables, of course our support is for a wide range of UK culinary excellence. We encourage other businesses to back Great British Food even more too.”

A Great British Food Unit has been established by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) to turbo-charge UK food exports and support industry growth plans.
