Businesses on the list represent those which achieved the highest scores in this year’s round of ratings which provide members with sustainability recognition.
Vacherin, whose turnover this year broke £18m, received three out of three stars, with many 'commendable practices’ observed across all three pillars of sourcing, society and environment.
Phil Roker, managing director at Vacherin, said: “Commitment to creating genuine sustainability and high ethical standards is second nature to us.
“We have always aimed to do so much more than just meet the minimum requirements for our clients, so it’s great to have been recognised by the SRA in this way.
“The fact we are the only contract catering business to have made the top 20 secures our position as London’s premier independent caterer.”
The top 20 businesses also make up the shortlist for the Food Made Good Business of the Year Award. The award will be presented by SRA president, Raymond Blanc, during a ceremony on 5th October at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Lindley Hall.
