Abstract
Westbury Street Holdings (WSH), parent company of BaxterStorey, Caterlink and Searcy’s, has reportedly sold a ‘significant stake’ of its business to US private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the £780m ($1b) deal will ensure founder and chairman Alastair Storey remains on the board as a key shareholder.
Storey told CSC: “WSH is a thriving business continually looking at ways to grow. As such we regularly review our business structures including those relating to financial matters.”
Storey founded WSH in 2000, with turnover hitting £828m in 2017. Its full list of brands includes:

- Education caterer, Caterlink
- Event caterer and restaurant company, Searcy’s
- Coffee chain Benugo
- Independent school caterer, Holroyd Howe
- Restaurant group Hix
