7th Feb 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Student Sophie Pain scooped a year's university fees after taking part in an URBAN eat competition.
Pain, aged 20, entered the 'Win Free Fees' competition after buying an URBAN eat sandwich from the Student Union shop on the campus at Loughborough University and was drawn from the thousands of entries received via the URBAN eat website and special text line to win the first prize. Pain explained: "I don't usually enter competitions but this one really grabbed my attention, student fees are such a hot topic it really was the talk of our campus. "When you consider that the competition was open to students at Uni's across the country I can't believe I was lucky enough win the first prize, it really has made a huge difference and means that I can now think seriously about coming back to do a Masters." URBAN eat brand manager Leon Mills added: "We wanted to do something really special to mark the launch of URBAN eat and we know that the majority of students are really concerned about finding the money to cover their tuition fees. "We are delighted with the response that we had to the competition are pleased that we have been able to make life a little bit easier for Sophie at such a stressful time and we look forward to following her future career with interest." In addition to the first prize won by Pain, 10 other students won iphone 4's in the URBAN eat launch competition.
