Abstract
Pelican Procurement Services has recently secured a three-year contract from the University of Stirling to provide comprehensive procurement services and an advanced eProcurement system.

The Pelican team will support the University in achieving its primary objective to drive operational savings and enhance efficiencies throughout its catering, retail, hotel and other hospitality operations.

Irene Munro, deputy director of commercial services at the University of Stirling, said. "We aim to enhance our offering whilst generating efficiency and reducing costs across all of our catering and hospitality services.

“We look forward to utilising Pi, an advanced P2P system, which will be fully integrated with our EPOS system. Pi will assist our finance, purchasing, and catering team in streamlining our internal process and gaining complete visibility and control over purchasing spend, ordering, invoice payments, menu & allergen management, and stock & waste management.”

The University of Stirling is home to over 18,500 students who can enjoy food outlets including restaurants, bars and cafés serving a variety of cuisines.

Ian Holliday, director at Pelican Procurement Services, added: “Our team looks forward to working closely with the University’s catering team, providing them with procurement, supply chain operational support, and Pi, an e-procurement system.

“This will give them more visibility and control of their purchasing spend and day-to-day operations, ultimately driving efficiencies whilst enhancing offering to their students, guests, and visitors.”
