Unilever Food Solutions breaks £40k target for Hospitality Action

4th Mar 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Unilever Food Solutions has raised a massive £51,146 for Hospitality Action, exceeding its original target of £40,000 to support the charity’s work.
The money raised was part of a KNORR campaign to donate 20p from every tub of 1kg chicken, beef and vegetable bouillon which ran from October to December last year. The funds will go towards helping current and past hospitality employees suffering from tragedy, ill health or personal hardship, to improve their personal circumstances for a better future. Tracey Rogers, managing director at Unilever Food Solutions, commented: "We have received such a fantastic industry response from our KNORR bouillon initiative that we have been able to raise an additional £11,146. "I think it's important for any business to show its support of the wider hospitality and foodservice community, and our continued commitment to Hospitality Action is just one way in which we can do so." Penny Moore, chief executive officer of Hospitality Action, added: "I would like to say a huge thank you to Unilever Food Solutions for this donation. This generosity will go a long way in helping us raise awareness of and support the livelihoods of those that most need our help. It will make a huge difference to their future lives."
