To take part, care homes just need to submit photos of their team working with residents to build and decorate a gingerbread house and explain why they chose their particular theme.
James Allred, UFS channel marketing manager, said: "We want to help care homes bring the magic of Christmas to their residents – and what better way to do it than by bringing residents, carers and care home caterers together for the time-old Christmas tradition of baking a gingerbread house. Last year’s winning entry, a gingerbread birdhouse, came from Admiral Court care home in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex.
Entries close on January 3rd 2017 and the overall winner will be announced on January 18th.
