Kelly will be responsible for developing the company’s marketing and sales strategy. She joins the business from florists Hayford & Rhodes where she worked as business development director.
Kelly said: “After working in hospitality and events for 18 years, I am thrilled to join a company that has such a vested interest in the industry’s future.
“It has been such a hard year for hospitality and it feels great to be supporting so many businesses to get back on their feet with bespoke training programmes, rebuilding their workforce and motivating their teams with new skills and knowledge.
“In the short time I've been with the company, we have launched as a Kickstart Scheme gateway, offering advice and guidance to businesses who want to access the benefits of the scheme, as well as broadening our client portfolio by working on some fantastic projects and supporting new industries that have recognised the value in apprenticeships.”
In February Umbrella Training announced a new partnership with 90’s ‘fitness sensation’ and wellbeing guru Mr Motivator to support the mental and physical health of its apprentices.
Adele Oxberry, chief executive and founder of Umbrella Training, added: “We are delighted to have Kate on-board. She not only brings a wealth of strategic business development experience, but her commercial understanding and knowledge is going to be crucial as we continue to take our service offer to the next level.”
