Abstract
BAPEN and the Malnutrition Task Force launched the third UK Malnutrition Awareness Week which starts today (5 October) and will run until 12 October 2020.

Malnutrition is one of the biggest challenges that public sector caterers in care homes and hospitals experience.

UK Malnutrition Week aims to raise awareness of malnutrition and dehydration among the public. The campaign also helps health and social care professionals understand their role in preventing and managing malnutrition.

On 7 October BAPEN and the Malnutrition Task Force will host a parliamentary drop in event where they will explain their vision to parliamentarians.

The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) announced on Twitter they were supporting Malnutrition Awareness Week to help raise awareness of undernutrition within the care home sector.

To get involved with the campaign, use #UKMAW2020 on social media.
